Greetings All,
I wanted to send out some big thank yous to folks who helped out so much leading up to and
during this past Saturday's event.

To our Event Sponsors - Four Seasons Heating & Air, Wooden Shoe Flooring and Boss Door Company thanks so much for covering our event costs plus some with your underwriting. It truly was our financial foundation for this event.

To the team managers - Marilou, Tim, John, Trevor, Karl, Greg & Justin thanks so much for bringing your teams out. Steve, thanks for coordinating the front end for the CURC squad.

To the volunteer umpires - Bill, Bob, Rev, Greg, Nathan, Justin and both Davis boys thanks so much for being willing to ump a few games and keep the peace. :)

In all we raised ~$5,500 for Word and Deed with checks still coming in. It was a really good day and I was so happy to see you all out there. Please pass along word to your teams thanking them again for their participation.

How to Get Involved

Come up with a team of 10 or more players, ages 16 or older, and register your mens or co-ed team by August 28. Then you need to raise a minimum of $50 per player and show up the tournament for some softball, lunch and great fellowship. Or you can just come for lunch and fellowship!For team registration, pledge forms and more information please contact Laura at lzandstra@hotmail.com or Dan at danbruinsma76@gmail.com. The proceeds of this event will go towards agricultural projects in Central America. These projects supply seed, fertilizer, tools, and agricultural training as well as biblical training to indigenous people. Our goal is to enable them to provide nutritious food for their families, as well as providing them with nutritious gospel food.
